Doylestown: Luxury Condos Proposed Across From Wawa

This week's video looks at the Hart Tract across from Wawa. Patch's August 20 report described the August 18 zoning approval that allows Zaveta to submit a 36-townhome plan for the 24-acre property.

Why it matters: The zoning change protects the historic homestead and half the property while allowing residential development. That establishes what can be proposed on the site.

What's next: The project still needs land-development review, where traffic and stormwater details are addressed. August's zoning vote wasn't the final development approval.

New Hope's Arts & Crafts Festival brings more than 160 juried artists to New Hope-Solebury High School this weekend. It runs Saturday, September 26, from 10 to 5, and Sunday from 10 to 4, rain or shine. Admission is $5. School parking is another $5, cash, or you can use the free shuttle from South Main Street near the Playhouse. That gives you a way to combine the festival with a stop downtown. The Doylestown Smash puts two four-ounce beef patties on brioche with bacon and cheddar. It comes with caramelized onions, and house fries are included in the $19 price on the restaurant's current all-day menu. This week's home is a brick Colonial in Telford with four bedrooms and two and a half baths. It has about 2,819 finished square feet, including finished basement space, and closed September 18.
