Morning, Bucks County. The biggest local jobs story this week is in Falls Township, where supervisors approved a clothing-rental facility that could hold up to 2,800 jobs. It still has outside approvals ahead of it. Closer to Central Bucks, the Bike & Hike stretch along Sandy Ridge Road is closed through the end of the year.

Falls approves Nuuly’s plan for up to 2,800 jobs

On Oct. 26, Falls Township supervisors approved a zoning change and preliminary and final land development plans for a Nuuly facility of about 975,000 square feet. The site is 700 E. Penn Valley Road, across from Falls Township Community Park. Nuuly is the clothing rental service run by Urban Outfitters.

  • Why it matters: About 1,000 of the jobs would move from Nuuly’s Bristol Township facility, which would close, and about 1,800 would be new. Residents who spoke objected to the location next to the park and raised traffic and wastewater concerns.

  • What’s next: The project still needs several outside approvals, PennDOT and the Army Corps of Engineers among them. If those come through, the first phase is targeted for November 2028.

PET OF THE WEEK · WOMEN’S ANIMAL CENTER, BENSALEM

Bean has the tennis ball covered

Women’s Animal Center describes Bean as a playful, curious boy who loves racing around the yard and sniffing every corner like it’s a brand-new adventure. Toss a tennis ball and he’s off after it. When treats come out, the shelter says he sits politely with one ear up and one ear down. He’ll also lean right into you for a good back scratch. If you’ve got a yard and a ball, Bean already has plans for both.

Good to know: Bean is a young, neutered male greyhound mix, listed in the 26 to 60 pound range. The shelter says he’d do best in a home without men, where he can build confidence at his own pace. He’s open to meeting other dogs and kids over 10. Applications are made in person at 3839 Richlieu Road, and the shelter can’t hold animals. Call 215-750-3100 to ask about the fee.

Women’s Animal Center, Bensalem. Availability can change, so check the listing first.
